My Manifesto

All the channels on TV; from the comfort of a sofa we watch, entertained by the evils of our society
All the broken families, divided by greed, self -centeredness and infidelity
All the children with shattered hearts, without hope for the future
All the scarred youth who think power lies in a gun
All the kids killing each other in an endless loop of revenge and self destruction
All the adrenaline addicts selling their souls for the ultimate rush
All the bullies on this playground
All the killers and con-men
All the men who hurt, use and abuse women
All the women who hate men and use their sex to control
All the irresistibly seductive poison apples
All the deceptive beauty
All the lonely souls trapped inside themselves
All the superficial people pretending to be something they are not
All the prisoners of social conformity
All the slaves to money and power
All the arrogant snobs who think they are better than everyone else
All the blind ignorant who turn away and say everything is all right
All the bigots who love to hate
All the angry, bitter, spiteful vengeance
All the empty, self inflating, prideful, hope destroying hype
All the TV media making entertainment of people's tragic misfortunes
All the fiscal gains at the cost of environmental, moral and ethical degradation
All the corporations giving the disease, then selling the cure
All the disrespect to sacred sentiment under the umbrella of freedom of speech
All the atheists saying this is all just a game of survival of the fittest
All the nuclear war-heads on the planet
All the political and social unrest in the world
All the crimes of humanity justified by greedy progress and world dominance
All the scientists controlling everything and everyone
All the smart fools studying people like lab rats
All the elite untouchables playing god
All the exploitation of innocence done in the name of entertainment
All the TV preachers earning Jesus a star on Hollywood's walk of fame
All the hypocrites damning our souls
All the banks going up where churches once stood
All the new prisons being built
All the homeless, the down and the out
All the plagues and famine of the human spirit
All the drug addicts and junkies
All the rape, crime and violence
All the sex shops and crack houses
All the prostitutes
All the sick and dying from the AIDS epidemic
All the people who feel they have no worth
All the yuppies who think they can buy anything and anyone
All the casualties in these fashion wars
All the parents silently telling their kids they have to be perfect just to be good enough
All the moms and dads, who could care less
All the children born into poverty and abuse
All the children who never get to be born
All the babies having babies
All the little girls making painful adult choices on their own
All the people treating other people like objects that are in their way
All the advertisers telling us who we are, what we want, and what we need
All the neon, Technicolor, surround-sound over-stimulation
All the infomercials making us feel insecure and self-conscious
All the burned out, the tired and weary
All the miserable people trying to take away the hopes and dreams of others
All the weak who think they are strong by keeping others down
All the weak minded who follow anything any fool tells them
All the contradictions of the liberal bigots who claim to be open minded
All the self-centered who don't care as long as they get what they want
All the hopeless who feel that there is nothing they can do
All the fools who tell me that there is nothing that I can do about it

All of these things have inspired my sense of urgency and passionate need to create, to tell about the horrors I have seen, and to show the abstract dimensions and depth of the situations we face. As we enter into a new millennium, I hope that my work will inspire others to stand up for what is right, to fight for the liberty that has been steadily stripped away from us in the name of progress, science, industry and financial gain. In this so called free modern society, I choose to exercise my right to speak through visual art, to defend human rights, the sanctity of religion, and to give back some kind of hope for the future, to the young, the broken hearted and the prisoners of social conformity found at all levels of this giant pyramid of capitalism. My intention is not to maliciously offend, but to hold up a mirror, and show the ugly truth about' the prices we are all paying for freedom in America.
